Are you looking for a newborn photographer in Greensboro North Carolina? Congratulations – your little one is finally here! Now it’s time to book newborn photos!
At-home newborn family photos are one of my absolute favorites! Within the first two weeks after your little one has been born is the ideal time to plan for newborn photos. Isaiah couldn’t wait to make his appearance into this world just a few days before Christmas! His parents are smitten over him and were smiling ear-to-ear while we took these newborn photos.
Isaiah’s mother is an interior designer, and you can tell by the aesthetic of this minimalist, modern, and simple nursery decor. The pop of graphic wallpaper on the ceiling (from Milton & King) was the coolest part of the whole room!
This family decided not to find out the gender of the baby before the birth. And if you don’t already know, I’m a BIG fan of this! My husband and I didn’t find out what we were having either before our son was born. I digress. Meredith mentioned that when she was decorating the nursery she wanted to make sure she kept it neutral and styled in a way that was not masculine nor feminine. She hit the nail on the head when decorating this minimalist nursery. Meredith is the owner of Cypress Studios in Greensboro North Carolina. She put some special touches on Isaiah’s nursery and you can feel the love and care she put into this room.
At-home newborn photos offer a casual, natural, and authentic look to your newborn pictures. I like to take a more natural and effortless approach to the newborn photos I capture, and being at home with a family is where they feel most comfortable and at ease. If you aren’t prepared to have newborn photos taken at home, that’s OK too! There are other options we can choose from when planning for newborn photos.
When preparing for newborn photos, I always encourage my clients to have a few outfits picked out for the baby that coordinate with what they are wearing. Newborn clothes are the cutest, so make sure you have something special picked out for your little one to wear. And, just in case, have a few backup outfits ready in case there is a messy diaper or spit-up.
After having worked with numerous newborn clients, there are several tips and tricks to help things go smoothly during your session. You never want to feel rushed or anxious during your baby’s newborn photos, so I recommend taking these tips into account before your at-home newborn session.
