One of my favorite parts of being a Greensboro NC photographer is scouting locations that make family sessions feel effortless. With great light, room for kids to roam, and backdrops that don’t fight for attention, these locations check all the boxes. After years of photographing families all over the Triad, here are five Greensboro locations I come back to again and again, and why each one works.

1. Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden
This 7.5-acre garden is one of the most requested spots for family and lifestyle sessions in the area, and it’s easy to see why. Seasonal blooms, stunning landscaping, and a small creek give us multiple backdrops in a single visit.
2. Greensboro Arboretum

A short drive from the Bicentennial Garden you’ll find the the Greensboro Arboretum which offers a quiet, tranquil feel with tree-lined paths and structured greenery. It’s a great pick for families who want a timeless, classic look rather than a wildflower vibe.
3. Price Park

A bit of a hidden gem, Price Park has meadows, forest edges, and a butterfly garden. The tall grass here is especially gorgeous for fall sessions and gives images a soft, dreamy quality.
4. Lake Brandt

With open shoreline, the lake, and mature trees, Lake Brandy is one of the most peaceful locations in Greensboro.
5. Your Home

There’s truly no place like home. Kick off your shoes, wear something comfortable and stylish and let’s capture you and your family in your natural element. Home is where so many memories are made and its a space worth documenting.
Booking Your Greensboro Family Photos
As a North Carolina photographer based right here in the Triad, I love matching a family’s personality to the right setting — whether that’s the polished elegance of a garden or the playful energy of your own home. If you’re planning a family session and aren’t sure which location fits your family best, that’s exactly what I’m here to help with.
