When I say this Smith Mountain Lake Wedding was a blast, I mean it! Madison and Connor tied the knot on this epic September day at Smith Mountain Lake.
Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia was the only location Madison and Connor envisioned for their wedding day. Smith Mountain Lake is a 20,600-acre reservoir created in 1963 is a popular place for boating, waterskiing, and fishing.
Madison and Connor have both spent a lot of time vacationing with family and friends at Smith Mountain Lake. With both of their families having homes at Smith Mountain Lake, they knew it was the perfect location for their September wedding.
Parkview Marina provided the best view of the lake and mountain landscape. Their vendor team was on point and showed up in the biggest way for Madison and Connor’s wedding at Smith Mountain Lake.

Their wedding took place on a Friday, and I am now a huge fan of Friday weddings. The reason being, it gives people a chance to get back home on Saturday and have another day to recover before the work week starts on Monday. It is especially nice when you have out-of-town guests traveling to your wedding and they have more time to get back home after the celebrations are over. For Madison and Connor, they happened to plan for a flotilla the following day after the wedding, so the party continued throughout the entire weekend. They started out on Thursday with their rehearsal dinner on the Virginia Dare Cruise, Friday was the wedding, and then Saturday was the flotilla. It was an action packed wedding weekend at Smith Mountain Lake, and it was exactly what Madison and Connor wanted.
The fun had by all at Madison and Connor’s wedding was fun to be part of and watch the wedding guests have a blast!
